Frequently asked questions
What is confession.baby?
- confession.baby is an anonymous confession site with campus communities for universities, colleges and schools. Every confession and comment is read by a human moderator before it is published.
Is confession.baby really anonymous?
- Posts are not linked to accounts, names, IP addresses or cookies, and moderators never see who wrote anything. No website can promise absolute anonymity: what you write, and who knows your story, can still identify you.
Do I need an account to post a confession?
- No. You can post without an account. Accounts exist only for people who claim a campus community handle and for moderators.
Who can post on confession.baby?
- Adults aged 18 or older. Reading is open to everyone.
How does moderation work?
- Automated checks screen each submission for personal information, explicit content, threats and spam. Clear violations are refused immediately. Everything else waits for a human moderator, who approves or declines it.
Is NSFW content allowed?
- No. Explicit sexual content, nudity and sexual solicitation are not allowed. Relationships and feelings are fine to write about without graphic detail.
How do I delete my confession?
- Use the private receipt you received after posting on the “Check a submission” page. It lets you check the status, edit while pending, or delete the confession permanently.
What if I lose my receipt?
- The receipt cannot be recovered, because only a one-way hash of it is stored. If a confession is about you or breaks the rules, use Report abuse instead.
How do I find my university or college?
- Open Campuses and search by name, handle or city. If your institution is missing, request it; a moderator checks for duplicates before it goes live at confession.baby/@handle.
Are campus pages official?
- No, unless marked Verified. Community pages are independent by default. A page becomes verified only after an institution representative proves their role.
How are school communities protected?
- School pages are adults-only for posting, every post is reviewed with extra care, comments are turned off, nobody may be identified, and school posts are never shown to search engines.
How are views counted?
- A view counts when a real browser keeps a confession open for a few seconds, at most once per visitor per 24 hours. Bots and link previews are not counted.
How do I report a confession?
- Use the Report button on the confession or comment, or the Report abuse form. Threats and child safety reports are reviewed first. Reports never remove content automatically; a person decides.
Can I add my Instagram to a confession?
- Yes, optionally, and only your own account. It is shown publicly on that post, so the post is no longer anonymous. It cannot be added on school pages.
Does confession.baby show ads?
- No. There are no ads, no paywalls and no paid features.
